Anyone interested in a swap???

I don't have many readers, so I'm not sure if this will even be possible to accomplish. But we have a saying about how if you never try you never succeed, so...
A good friend of mine (to whom I've made this and this and this) has a nearly 2 year old - oh the terrible twos - who is currently obsessed with pandas. I promised to make something with pandas in it, something simple like a bib or a pillow I don't know yet, but the thing is... I have fabric with mouses, cats, dogs, owls, rabbits, frogs, octopus, turtles, sheeps, bears, penguins, girafes, elephants, tigers, lions, zebras, monkeys, rinos, hippos, alligators and... guess what? NO PANDAS!!!
If anyone has a fat-quarter with pandas, please swap with me! I would prefer to give away some cats, just because I have more of it and it's a fat-quarter (some of the other animals are mixed together in the same fabric and I have only 20 or 30 cm "slices" instead of a nice and square fat-quarter). But I'm open to other options, as long as I get me some panda love :)

  1. Funny, I've noticed this panda obsession recently, people ask about them at the shop everyday.
Well, I don't have pandas, but I would love some cat fabric so I'll keep an eye out at the fabric stores for some panda fabric and if I succeed I'll let you know:)

  5. I'd love to do a swap, but just as the ladies said, I don't have any panda fabric either. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen any panda fabric. Have you tried etsy or ebay?

Btw, I'm interested in future swaps so keep 'em coming! : )

  6. Just because you don't have many followers, doesn't mean anything. I get your e-mail updates, and I'm not a follower, so don't think we don't like to read your blog. And sadly, I don't have any pandas either. I have plenty of squares/scraps from a bug quilt I made (mice, butterflies, dragonflies, frogs, etc), but sadly no pandas. When I hit the fabric shop this weekend, I'll check them out for panda fabric. But sadly, I don't ever remember even seeing panda fabric before.

  7. hmm, have you tried http://www.bugfabric.com/asian_fabrics.htm
they have pandas there. Kinda pricey at $9.00 a yard, but they also sell in fat quarters. If you write to them and tell them where you are and you DON'T WANT PRIORITY SHIPPING, see if they will send it 1st class, alot cheaper. If they won't, write to me and I'll order what you want and send it to you. Also, go to fabshophop.com and go to the fabric search engine and type in panda there. You may find something prettier or better then what the bug has. Let me know if you need anymore help with this one, Elaine
